You have to you got to keep an eye on all the the little things that are revealed eventually throughout the book. While the premise promises unpredictability, it is far more complicated and razor sharp to say the least. Told from three characters point of views, Only the good die young is a unpredictable and uncanny gripping thriller you wouldn't want to miss. And with the arrival of another man, Anuradha's life might yet become more messy than ever. Everything reaches a crescendo when the gruesome brutality continuous.Īnuradha was grappling with her thoughts of present moments and situations was now being traumatized long dead past and someone is hell bent on making sure happy endings aren't an option. Their lives get entwined and while they are still navigating through the feelings, a few suspicious events begins to happen. And after a long time, both of them meet again and everything spiral out of control. However, she didn't anticipate the revival of her dark past. When Dhruv chooses to be his family, Anuradha moves out of the city and from his life. The book is overall entertaining and thrilling for sure. I wish there were some more murders and they occupied more number of pages. The book gets interesting in the second half and picks up the pace. The cover is intriguing and reflects the place setting ( Mumbai ). The title undoubtedly refers to Sid but the other characters are no saint too. Sometimes I couldn't really understand the characters' feelings or where they were coming from despite the author trying his best to validate their feelings. The plot was interesting and the book kept me engaged. The book sometimes felt like watching a full on masala Bollywood movie. There are three main characters that of Dhruv, Anuradha and Sid but all other characters have a strong presence too and have a role to play in the story. The book has multiple POV which helps to understand the characters better and see their side of the story. With mysterious deaths of Anuradha's colleagues, what is in store for her and Dhruv? After two years, Anuradha's past is eager to catch up with her. But Anuradha harbours a secret which leads to the breakup between her and Dhruv. Despite being married to Shalini, Dhruv falls in love with Anuradha with whom he thinks he has a karmic connection. Only the good die young & I'm not a saint is a crime thriller, it is a sequel of You Never Know. Maybe I should read the first book first so I can understand why the things are like that the way they are. Overall it's an okay thriller, not for me actually but writing style is good. I mean wack, we don't need that sexy stuff in a revengeful thriller right? Not necessarily you've to put explicit content to make a book perky, there are so many things that can make a book being noticed. These characters are well sketched and we get to understand them from a 360° angle but throughout the book I didn't see any development in their characters.Īnother thing I didn't like in this book is the over emphasis on sexual tension between the characters. His actions didn't justify what his mind is telling him and what he is telling himself. Then comes Dhruv, I'm very much annoyed over him, can't tell why because that would constitute a spoiler. Anuradha is a person who always seems to end up with the wrong kind of men. Though the Protagonist is a woman (Anuradha), I felt disgusted about her. You like to read flawed characters? Then this book is definitely for you, here in this book you'll find the characters so flawed that they eventually led me to feel disgusted about them. This book is well written with good narration and correct choice of sentences and words except the overdescriptive plots here and there. I haven't read the first book but didn't find any difficulty reading and understanding the plot. "Only The Good Die Young" is the sequel book of "You Never Know". Now together Dhruv and Anuradha has to find the person behind these shocking crimes and unveil this facade of fear. Dhruv is back in her life and horrible things has started to happen to her closed ones. But strangely her past seems to catch up with her. Anuradha starts her life afresh in Mumbai leaving behind her past in Gurgaon when Dhruv chooses his family over Anuradha.
